Sydney, Australia – October 2021 - On behalf of the team at Brother and our valued business partners I’d like to thank you for your ongoing support and to extend our apologies for any challenges you might have faced in finding our products in retail and dealer network stores or websites.
We are working hard with our global supply chain teams to meet your requirements. Inventory is generally recovering well especially for printing consumables which should mostly be readily available. Printing hardware however may still be unavailable in some areas and there might be some impact to the availability of sewing machines during this next period.
Our concern is centred around two key issues;
- There is an emerging global shortage of semiconductors and other components within the electronics industry - this is not a Brother-only problem
- The shortage of sea vessels and containers used to bring products into Australia - we have overcome the sea freight delays for consumables by changing to airfreight
We expect the demand for Brother products to remain high so rest assured we are working tirelessly to mitigate any negative outcomes as we work to normalise the supply and distribution of our products.
Our website is constantly being updated including the ‘where to buy page’. If you are directed to one of our valued business partners, it’s advisable to call ahead to check stock in advance.
If you need more information feel free to visit our contact us page or get in touch with your local retailer or reseller.
On occasion, there may be a slight delay to our reply due to the number of enquiries at this time. Rest assured; we will do so as soon as we can – supporting you is our main priority.
Thank you for your understanding and patience during these unprecedented times and thank you for your loyalty to the Brother brand and business.
Best regards
Andy O’Donnell
