BLI Scanner pick awards 2023

Keypoint Intelligence, the leading market research firm and independent evaluator of print and smart workplace technology and services, announces that Brother has won two Buyers Lab (BLI) 2023 Scanner Pick Awards, based on how well the devices performed during Keypoint Intelligence lab testing.

“The Brother ADS-4700W and ADS-4900W tout many of the features that you would want from a shared workgroup scanner, including support for a wide range of media types and easy integration with business applications that underpin your business,” said Lee Davis, Senior Analyst in Keypoint Intelligence’s Office Group. “The devices are lightweight and do not require a lot of desk or counter space, and each unit can also be deployed as a wireless standalone scanner so there is no need for a connected PC—simply place either device where it’s convenient for the team to use and start scanning. For these reasons and many others, it was plain to see that the Brother ADS-4700W was deserving of a BLI Pick Award.”

Making repeatable processes simple on users is a critical facet of technology in the present day, especially in the post-COVID, hybrid business world, and here the Brother ADS-4700W once again shines. It enables organizations to accelerate and standardize recurring scanning workflows, as users can store up to 56 shortcuts on the touchscreen, with available document handling, image processing, and data extraction settings. What could be easier than kicking off entire scan processes with the press of a button? The Brother ADS-4700W does just that—and way more.

“This recognition from Keypoint Intelligence reflects Brother’s commitment to providing customers with imaging devices that meet evolving customer and business document management needs for how work now works,” said Fernando Maroniene, Senior Director of Product Marketing at Brother USA. “The ADS-4700W and ADS-4900W Professional Desktop Scanners help streamline workflows while providing advanced security features and easy integration into existing processes and systems.”

PCMag Award 2021

Over a decade of wins: Brother awarded PCMag Readers’ Choice Award for its thirteenth year and the Business Choice Award for the ninth year in a row

Sydney, Australia – 01st October 2021: As a testament to the brand’s ongoing commitment to customer support and product quality, Brother has once again been awarded the prestigious PCMag Readers’ Choice Award for the 13th year in a row.

In a winning streak, Brother also took home the Business Choice Award for the ninth year in a row. In the Readers’ Choice Category, Brother topped scores in a wide range of areas including overall satisfaction, reliability, cost/value, ease of use, document/text print quality and likelihood to recommend. With scores increasing from 2020, Brother continues to put customers first and remain at your side.

“Thirteen may be an unlucky number for some, but not Brother. The company wins our PCMag Readers' Choice Award for the 13th straight year, with top ratings on nearly every measure of satisfaction.” - Ben Gottesman, Contributing Editor PCMag.

The Business Choice category reflected similar growth in a number of areas with the brand securing its highest ever score in customer satisfaction.

On the Business Choice Award win, PCMag Features Editor, Eric Griffith said: “It takes a steady brand to keep the rudder pointed at customer satisfaction for this long. Yet in our nine years of presenting the Business Choice award for printers, Brother has done exactly that, earning scores other vendors only wish they could achieve.”

Celebrating the award win, Stefanie Matthews, Marketing Manager (Printing, Labelling & Mobile Solutions) at Brother International Australia said that Brother’s customers have leaned on the brand more than ever in the past year to help meet their needs.

“In an environment where remote and hybrid working is the norm, our customers have experienced the need for reliable, user-friendly technology and strong technical support like never before. Customer experience and product innovation have always been integral components of our brand mission and these awards tell us that we continue to deliver where it matters.”

The PCMag Business Choice and Readers’ Choice winners are determined by an email survey of PCMag community members that subscribe to the Readers' Choice Survey mailing list. Respondents were asked to rate their printer using multiple questions about their overall satisfaction with the solution, as well as experiences with technical support within the past 12 months.

‘Good Design’ Makes All The Difference: Brother Tallies Up Good Design Awards on over 214 Products Globally

Sydney, Australia – 22nd October 2020: Great product design makes all the difference, which is why Brother International Australia are excited to announce that their parent company, Brother Industries Ltd, has won yet another three Good Design Awards. The leading global manufacturer of laser and inkjet printers received the award for three of its products this year. Since first winning the award in 1960 for its home sewing machine, Brother has won the award for 214 of its products globally over time.

“Brother places design at the heart of its devices, both on an aesthetic and functional level. Our products are always created with the customer in mind, to ensure that they are easy to use, highly productive, and a stylish addition to any work or home setup”, says Stefanie Dixon, Marketing Manager (Printing, Labelling and Mobile Solutions), at Brother International Australia.
“We continue to incorporate feedback from our customers to make sure that we deliver the best value products, revising and improving our designs with each new generation of technology that we release”.

Both the newly released P-Touch Cube Pro (PT-P910BT), and the DS-940DW Mobile Scanner received the award for their simplistic and clean white design and fantastic functionality. The P-Touch Cube Pro pairs with some innovative software, to deliver fantastic labelling results for small businesses, while the mobile scanner is portable and easy to connect to any device on the go, improving document management workflows for workers in the field. In addition to this, Brother received the award for its multi-needle embroidery machine, the PR1055X, for its fantastic integration of functional technology, designed to improve creativity and productivity for textile professionals.

“It was also great to see the P-Touch Cube Pro receive the Good Design Best 100 award as one of the top 100 products or services. This put it in the running to win the Good Design Grand Award, Gold Award and other special Awards as well”, says Ms Dixon.

“We had a successful launch of this product in the Australian market in September, giving businesses the ability to create customisable, high quality labels easily and on the go, using their mobile devices. We’ve seen administrative staff use it with a data merge to create labels for mail outs, managers in a retail store use it to set themselves up for contact tracing and COVID hygiene labels, and IT managers and electricians use it on site to print asset management tags. This is a versatile and portable label printer that is well built and cleverly designed both inside and out, making it an asset for professionals across a range of industries”.

PCMag Award 2020

Brother’s range of printers have received the Highest Overall Satisfaction Ratings in the “most important categories”

Sydney, Australia – 9th September 2020: It’s no secret that Brother prides itself on its customer service offerings, with its ‘at your side’ mantra shaping all aspects of the business. It therefore comes with great delight to continue being acknowledged as the best of the best in this field, by taking home the prestigious PC Mag Reader’s Choice Award for the 12th year running. This was received alongside their 8th consecutive PC Mag Business Choice award, for printers that “really shine against some incredibly strong competition”, as the Features Editor of PC Mag stated.

“For the 12th year in a row, Brother is the most beloved printer brand among PCMag readers”, says Eric Griffith, Features Editor of PC Mag. “It has been on top in every Readers' Choice survey we've done since 2009, an unprecedented achievement. If you need a printer, it's clear that Brother devices get the job done.”

With scores up from last year’s results, the numbers for Brother’s latest win have come in exceptionally high across both categories, in areas such as ease of setup, reliability, repairs, document and quality, technical support, copier functions and the likelihood to recommend.

“This Readers' Choice survey has become a love letter from PCMag readers to Brother International.” – Eric Griffith, PC Mag.
“Our customers know very well that we uphold our commitment to developing products of the best quality, reliability and cost, and that we always strive to put our customer experience at the forefront of what we do”, says Stefanie Dixon, Marketing Manager (Printing, Labelling & Mobile Solutions) at Brother International Australia. “We believe this is why customers value our brand and our products, and keep vouching for us year after year. It tells us that we are on the right track, by continuing to do what we do to make sure customer satisfaction continue to exceed that of the competition year after year”.

Since introducing the PCMag Business Choice Award eight years ago, Brother has won it repeatedly each year. Brother strongly believes that printers and Multi-function Centres remain at the heart of document management and company workflow, and can significantly improve the way that staff manage their work and also collaborate with each other. It’s therefore no surprise that many businesses carefully consider the functionality, cost, and efficiency of their printing device, as well as the technical support they receive when owning or using a unit. This is the premise for which Brother continues to shape its product and service offerings.

“For every year we've run the PCMag Business Choice survey for printers, Brother has come out on top”, says Griffith. “It's our readers' favourite brand for home or work printing, but for business use in particular”.

Finder Awards 2019

Sydney, Australia – 25th November 2019: Brother are pleased to announce their win in the Printers category of this year’s Finder Retail Awards. To determine the winners, Finder, Australia’s most visited comparison site, collated over 34,000 customer reviews from 4,000 Australians on purchases made in the past 24 months. Considered the most comprehensive retail customer survey in Australia, the results compared the costs and benefits of Australia's most popular products to crown the winning brands.

“These awards are based on the opinions of real Australians on the products they use on a daily basis, not lab testing on brand new products”, said Frank Restuccia, co-founder and director of Finder.

“The awards cut through the sales speak to give shoppers confidence that they’re purchasing from a trusted brand, as rated by other consumers”.

Celebrating competitive offerings, products, services and innovations across a realm of industries, more than 100 brands were named as finalists across 69 consumer product categories, proving to be the biggest Finder Awards program yet. The printer segment had consumers rate their devices across performance and reliability, value for money, design, ease of use, features, and toner cost.

“We are thrilled to see Brother take home another award based on positive customer feedback. While we endeavour to manufacture high quality, cost effective products, the real value comes from providing the best customer service experience”, said Stefanie Dixon, Marketing Manager (SMB) at Brother International Australia.

“Brother will continue to strive for the greatest value and experience out of its products, and we hope to maintain ongoing positive feedback from our customers, as a leading provider of retail printers here in Australia.”

PCMag Award 2017

PCMag Award 2017

Sydney, Australia - 9th October, 2017– Producing a reliable printer is no easy task, but Brother’s customer first approach has demonstrated high performance in the past and this year has been no different. Once again, Brother proves to be the leader in home and business solutions and has been recognised with its’ fifth consecutive win for PCMags’ Business Choice Award, and its’ ninth consecutive Readers’ Choice Award for best printers of 2017.

This year, Brother has continued its dominance with satisfaction ratings improving across the board of PCMags’ categories, even more so than previous years. “For 2017, the work printers from Brother are so far ahead of the competition, they leave rivals in the dust,” said Ben Gottesman, PCMag. And if winning the award wasn’t enough, Brother topped every single category that was measured in the Business Choice Award scope this year.

Brother was also consistently awarded recognition from the readers of PCMag, receiving the highest overall satisfaction rating for printers less than a year old, home printers, inkjet all-in-one devices, monochrome laser printers, and monochrome laser all-in-ones.

“It's had a good decade,” said Gottesman. “The company's formula is very straightforward, though apparently not so easily replicated by its competition: make easy to set up, reliable printers that produce excellent output and don't cost a lot to operate. This year, many of Brother's satisfaction ratings got even better—if only slightly—from the year before.”

The PCMag Readers’ Choice Awards are based on overall customer satisfaction and printer attributes including setup, reliability, printing quality, technical support, repairs and the cost of consumables. Whereas the PCMag Business Choice Award also takes into consideration the likelihood to recommend the brand, with Brother leading the pack at a high 8.7.

“Putting stars in the eyes of our office-bound readers. Clearly if your business is on the hunt for a world-class printer for all your document needs, the choice is to pick your Brother,” Gottesman states. “Brother continues to fire on all cylinders, winning its’ ninth straight Readers’ Choice Award for printers. Nearly every way you slice it from overall satisfaction to satisfaction with reliability and the cost of inks and toners, Brother rates the best.”

The PCMag Business Choice and Readers’ Choice winners are determined by an email survey of PCMag community members that subscribe to the Readers' Choice Survey mailing list. This year’s survey was conducted between June 26, 2017 and July 17, 2017. Respondents were asked to rate their printer using multiple questions about their overall satisfaction with the solution, as well as experiences with technical support within the past 12 months.
