Working from home tip: Gratitude

Working from Home Tip: Gratitude

Practicing gratitude can often be a great way to boost your mood and can help you to better cope with tough times. The situation we currently find ourselves in is very uncertain and has the potential to cause plenty of stress and anxiety which can easily become overwhelming.

Taking a few moments to think about something or someone that you are thankful for can really help to change your perspective and can have a range of benefits for your overall health and well-being.

Even taking a second to recognise basic things, like the sun peeking through the clouds or the fact that you have a roof over your head can have a positive impact on your mood.

Keep an electronic or paper journal and plan to find a quiet time and place every day to write down a minimum of three things that you’re grateful for. By doing this you are establishing a happiness-enhancing habit to help get you through your current work from home situation and the physical distancing we’re currently experiencing.
