Printer Cartridge Recycling Program

To reduce our impact and take responsibility of the cartridges we produce, we’ve partnered with Planet Ark since 2003 and are proud to be a full funding member of the Cartridges 4 Planet Ark (‘C4PA’) recycling program. This Australia-wide program collects and recycles used printer cartridges diverting 100% of the cartridge from landfill. Over 46 million cartridges have been recycled so far.

Cartridges are collected and processed by the “Green Machine” and every bit of the cartridge is then recycled into new products such as stationery, benches, e-wood (a timber replacement product) and even as a road surface additive and other plastic products to help ensure zero waste to land fill.

The C4PA program covers both Brother genuine laser and ink consumables and includes inkjet cartridges, laser cartridges, toner containers, fuser and drum units, fax rolls, print heads, waste containers and kits.
