Brother International Australia was established in 1977 as a wholly owned subsidiary of Brother Industries, which was founded in 1908 in Japan. With a head office located in Sydney and State offices nationally throughout Australia, Brother has grown from humble beginnings to a diversified multinational corporation.

Brother sets up its Australian office

Brother International (Aust) Pty. Ltd. is established in Australia.

1995

First to launch Laser Multi-Function Centre (MFC)

Brother is the first to launch the Laser Multi-Function Centre (MFC).

2000

Brother is a major sponsor of Quilts 2000

Brother is a major sponsor of Quilts 2000, a Paralympics fund raising initiative.

2003

Brother Australia joins the ‘Cartridges 4 Planet Ark' recycling program

Brother International Australia becomes a proud sponsor of the ‘Cartridges 4 Planet Ark' recycling program.

New Brother Australia Head Office

Brother Australia relocates its head office from Khartoum Rd, to Talavera Rd Macquarie Park, Sydney, NSW.

Earthwatch Wins Prime Minister's Environmentalist of the Year Award

Earthwatch, an environmental institute that Brother Australia is proud to partner with, wins the Australian Prime Minister's Environmentalist of the Year Award.

2011

Brother partners with the Blacktown Relay For Life event

Brother partners with the Blacktown Relay For Life event to raise funds for cancer research and support. Brother staff and family members volunteer their time on the weekend to participate in the event and raise much needed funds each year.

Brother Australia sets up its Corporate Solutions team

Brother Australia sets up its Corporate Solutions team, to service businesses by tailoring solutions to specific industry needs.

Brother Australia joins ANZRP

Brother Australia joins the Australia and New Zealand Recycling Platform (ANZRP), to provide a free national e-waste recycling service for Australian consumers.

2014

Brother Australia partners with National Breast Cancer Foundation

Brother Australia launches "Brother for Sisters" and is proud to become a diamond partner of The National Breast Cancer Foundation, supporting research into the prevention and cure of breast cancer.
